Blogs that inspire(d) me and other blogging resources

How to transform your blog

Hi all! It hasn’t been easy to set up this blog. I wouldn’t have done it – and been so happy with it – if not for the help from some bloggers out there so worth my acknowledgment and a huge THANK YOU! 🙂 From changing from Blogger to WordPress, starting to use MailChimp, to finding a beautiful theme (with wonderful support from its creator) and having a logo designed, the rookie I used to be has even adventured herself in some coding! (and loved it!) I just think it’s fair to mention all these people here, after all, they are the blogs that inspire(d) me and other blogging resources that sooooo helped me to create The Writing Shed. If you are starting a blog, or are in the middle of a “revamp” in yours, these are the people to look for. Ok, I will forget someone at first, but I’ll continue to update this page, ok? Here we go… Blogs that inspire(d) me! (*this page contains affiliate links*)

You Made my Day blog - Amaia was just the person I needed to make me take the jump and move to WordPress. She was also a helping hand when I set up my MailChimp account and created my first newsletter.

Now, in all these blogs I found all the tools I needed to make The Writing Shed a beautiful website for you to hang around, to visit and feel at home. These are the tools that “make” The Writing Shed:

This book (or e-book if you prefer) has a lot of tips to help you take your blogging one (or many) steps further. I have mine as a paperback, so I can put post its and highlight things that I can go back to whenever I need.

And then… when you finish setting up your super awsome blog, how about having it tested for free? 🙂

Get your website “peeked” at! All you need to do is go to their website and type your blog address. (it’s really free to use 3 times a month. If you want to upgrade, you have to pay. To find out the difference click here)  “A normal, everyday user” will take a look at your blog and give you a perspective of it. I’ve written a post about it, if you want to find out more.
